LUMENE – the Nordic pioneer in circular beauty

LUMENE owes its existence to nature. We have been a Nordic pioneer in circularity for 20 years – we create beauty that respects the limited resources of our planet. Circularity is emphasised in our packaging choices. Our packaging choices are a testament to this commitment, guided by our five Rs: reduce, reuse, recycle, recycled, and renew.

Less packaging – 38% smaller carbon footprint

Reducing the amount of packaging material is the most effective way to decrease the environmental impact of packaging. The 50ml moisturiser jars are LUMENE’s most commonly used packaging format. Therefore, reducing the amount of material used on this jar has a significant impact on the environment.

Despite the reduction in packaging material, the amount of moisturiser remains the same, ensuring you will still enjoy the full benefits of LUMENE creams. The carbon footprint of the new jar is up to 38% smaller compared to the previous one, according to a third party LCA study. According to a product carbon footprint study, the packaging represents about one third of all lifecycle emissions.
